Winter is almost over....it is time to explore!
Winter has seemed to last for 482 days, here in the Midwest! Okay so total exaggeration but you get what I mean! In Kansas City, the first snow occurred in October of 2018 and hopefully the last snow fell the week before last. It has been a brutal Winter, leaving many of us mama’s stuck in the house with kids who just want to be outside roaming free! Today I feel like we finally turned a corner in the weather. The sun was shining, the breeze was cold but not bone chilling, and my thermometer hit 50 degrees…WOW.
We couldn’t waste such a beautiful afternoon so we hit the streets and explored a new park. The plan was to meet up with my sister Courtney and her kiddos, but my son took a super long nap (and I’m not complaining) so we arrived at the park as she was loading up her kids to head home. The park was PACKED kids running around, shooting hoops, playing soccer, there were bikers, runners, old and young people….everybody was out and about.
So in honor of today’s awesome weather I thought I would put together a mini Kansas City Area Park Guide! Some of these parks we have explored, but many of them we are hoping to venture out to in the upcoming weeks! Be sure to follow us on Instagram to see where we are headed next!
